JULIE LEGGETT ART

THE DERBYSHIRE MAKERS OPEN EXHIBITION
Exhibition Update: Every Picture Tells a Story at Peak Village
I’m delighted to share that my mixed‑media textile piece ‘The Joy of Flowers’ has been awarded Highly Commended in the TDM (The Derbyshire Makers) exhibition ‘Every Picture Tells a Story’, currently showing at Peak Village Shopping Centre.
The exhibition is open daily from 10am–5pm until 23rd August, showcasing an inspiring collection of work from Derbyshire artists and makers.
Here I am standing beside my three exhibited pieces, including The Joy of Flowers. It’s a real honour to have my work selected and celebrated among such a talented and vibrant creative community.
The Joy of Flowers has been recognised for its intricate stitch work, layered mixed‑media techniques, and joyful botanical storytelling.
Visitors to Peak Village can view the full exhibition throughout the next two weeks and explore the diverse creative voices represented. Julie said she feels “honoured to be selected among such talented Derbyshire artists and makers.”
If you’re visiting Peak Village over the summer, do stop by the gallery, and the Derbyshire Makers shop to enjoy the art being showcased.
