After much thought I made the move to resign/drop my duties as Matlock Artists Society Exhibition Coordinator after 4 years. I thoroughly enjoyed the post and hope that everyone enjoyed the Exhibitions that were put together over that time. Time to me has been top of my list this year to enable me space to fit in my plans and creativity. We had a fabulous christmas meal and get together at 'The George' in Tansley earlier this month - it really was good to all get together enjoy each others company and good food. This year was the added pleasure of the prizes for the prize winners from our Summer Exhibition, awarded by our president Carol Hill, with some very worthy winners in what was a fabulous exhibition of work from all the artists that took part. I was most surprised to receive an award for my contribution for the co ordingating of the Exhibitions, being awarded with the 'Doreen Andrews' Award, along with a lovely bunch of flowers - it was very touching and very unexpected. I would like to publicly say 'thank you so much', it was very much appeciated. I have used artistic license with the images, as I didnt take any shots on the day. The flowers are the real thing .. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2022.
