I have been out and delivered a couple of paintings to a lovely couple who have a fabulous eclectic collection of art pieces. It was lovely meeting them again and having the privelidge to take a peek at some great art. I do hope they can find good spots for their new art. The sales of the first two art pieces (Sewing Spot and Hat Stand) is a follow on from the Belper Art Trail; it was a good trail for me as I sold around six pieces of art in all. Images/art four, five and six are smaller pieces that I sold at Belper too. The image of the 'Lemons' collage mixed media artwork was sold on the back of the Matlock Artists Society Exhibition. It was lovely to have someone get in touch with me. I hope the art pieces bring much joy and smiles to faces, as they do to me.
My next series of paintings will be interior pieces with a range of close up interiors along with some window backdrops and furniture - I am working on my sketches so that I can decide what will be in them...
I will be at Melbourne Art Trail/Festival on 18th and 19th September - really looking forward to it, I do hope you can make it, there is a vast range of artisans showing their work and lots of fun and entertainment for the family.
ITS ALL BEEN DELIVERED.......
A little trek to Sheffield this morning - a nice ride through Bakewell. Parked nice and easy just outside the Botanical Gardens and trundled my artwork in on a little trolley - it was a little unfortunate that there were steps to go down....eeek... we got to the bottom with no mishaps. No queuing and very efficient at the Exhibition desk - now just to wait to see the artwork in situ. I havent booked for the preview for exhibitors tonight, maybe I'm wishing I had; never mind will be going along on Sunday to enjoy all the art in the park and the exhibition, its looking great, everyone setting up. Lets hope the weather is drizzle free tomorrow so we dont get muddy underfoot. Still time to book your tickets.....
